ABOUT US

Darrell is creator and administrator of the Pass The Marmalade site. Based in Derby, UK, Darrell is well-known to festivalgoers as one of the major guest interviewers at film events around the country, and has hosted live Q&A sessions with everyone from Dario Argento to Robin Askwith! Darrell is a committee member for the Paracinema film festival, held annually at Derby QUAD. He also presents the monthly 'Fright Club' horror movie screenings at the same venue.

Darrell edited the books 'The Shrieking Sixties: British Horror Films 1960-1969' and 'Dead Or Alive: British Horror Films 1980-1989'. He also worked as co-editor on 'Unsung Horrors', 'Son Of Unsung Horrors', 'A Century Of Horror', and 'Into The Velvet Darkness: A Celebration Of Vincent Price'. In 2019 Darrell published the 20,000-word monograph 'Short Sharp Shocks', a study of the hidden history of the supporting short film on the UK cinema circuit and beyond.

Darrell co-wrote the screenplay for the British horror film Ouijageist (2018) and is currently working on an Amicus-style anthology script.
