FATLINERS (1997) - amateur low-budget (approx £10,000) production from 'Smile Orange', the team behind the NIGHTBEAST remake and THE HUNT FOR THE YORKSHIRE GRIMACE. Apparently it's about time-travelling wrestlers, but stills in issue 65 of 'The Dark Side' depict a variety of characters including a Ku Klux Klan member and a menacing 1940s-style robot!

FAUST (1994) - feature-length fantasy from Czech animator Jan Svankmajer. Part U.K.- funded.

FEAR: AN UNFINISHED FILM (2005)  - Ken Dirke broke his foot during a shoot on this planned Jason Impey horror short, which was then left unfinished.

Prior to filming this movie, Slade had considered doing a horror spoof entitled 'The Quite-A-Mess Experiment'.

FOLLOW ME (1972)  - London-shot romantic comedy with Mia Farrow and Topol. Scenes where they go to see THE BRIDES OF DRACULA at the Cameo-Poly on Regent Street (with the marquee showing fake titles 'WEREWOLVES FROM MARS' and 'BLOODSUCKERS FROM VENUS', and FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED at the Cinephone on Oxford Street (falsely billed as 'I WAS A TEENAGE NECROMANCER'. FOLLOW THAT GOBLIN! (1992) - British/Israeli clay animation short; includes scene in fairground haunted house populated by Dracula, Frankenstein monster, witch, gorgon, hunchback, mummy etc.

THE LAST LEPRECHAUN (199?)  - filmed in South Africa for U.K. company Peakviewing. Veronica Hamel stars as an evil witch.

THE LAST REUNION (1955) - ghost appears at annual dinner held by WWII British bomber crew. Harry Alan Towers-produced t.v. drama, has been shown as 'movie' on U.S. television.

THE LAST SIGN (2005) - Canadian/UK/French co-production; Andie McDowell seemingly haunted by ghost of alcoholic and abusive ex-husband. Apaprently more of a romantic drama-thriller than anything more horrific, though marketed in horror film packaging.

LAUGH TRACK: PSYCHOMANIA (2003)  - a U.S. comedy troupe took the classic 1972 British biker horror movie PSYCHOMANIA and recorded their own dialogue track, in the manner of Woody Allen’s WHAT’S UP TIGER LILY?, retaining the film’s visuals but altering the content of the story.

LAWN DOGS (1997) - U.K.-produced fantasy drama, set in U.S. and directed by Australian John Duigan! Features the legend of 'Baba Yaga' as a central theme.

LAWNMOWER MAN 2: BEYOND CYBERSPACE (1994) - U.S./British/Japanese co-produced sequel, this time with no discernible Stephen King connection and a distinct bias towards sf rather than horror.

THE LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN (2000)  - hour-long Xmas special spin-off from the hit BBC2 comedy series - features several of the regular characters in an Amicus-style horror compendium. Stories feature 'Solutions' (a weird problem-solving cult), a choir of German vampires, and a mystical Eastern curse.

LEATHERFACE SPEAKS (2001)  - filmed interview with Gunnar Hansen, star of THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE, shot during his promotional tour of Britain accompanying screenings of the legendary movie.

LEGACY (2002)  - two groups of young people in Birmingham awake to find their city deserted. “Supernatural thriller” – ‘This Is Worcestershire’ website. LOVECRACKED! THE MOVIE (2005) - U.S. anthology compiling several horror shorts, one of which is the British film WITCH'S SPRING.

LOVESICK: SICK LOVE (2004) - directed by Wolfgang Buld (PENETRATION ANGST). "Becomes nasty in its closing stages with corpses in the cellar, date rape and cold killings" - Paul Higson.

LOVING MEMORY (1970)  - 57-minute feature funded by the BFI, directed by Tony Scott. Elderly brother and sister knock down and kill a cyclist; taking him home, the sister dresses the corpse, makes him tea, and plots to kill her brother to prevent him from burying the body.

THE LUCIFER EFFECT (2017)  - eight people who think they are competing for movie roles find themselves trapped in a 'Stanford Prison'-like experiment. Credited director is Tim Burke. Was this film ever made, or completed? Online trailers exist, as do articles on the web about the film being controversially pulled from a Cannes festival screening, and other bits and pieces of unconvincing would-be-viral ballyhoo.

LULLABY OF CLUBLAND (2002) - the old version of Pass the Marmalade carried this entry: "gay teenager travels from Manchester to the heart of London's clubland; goes into murderous frenzy after taking a cocktail of drugs. "Bittersweet, often surprisingly innovative comic horror movie" - www.cinemascreen.co.uk . The film's director Mikey Myers committed suicide soon after the shoot". It now seems that the film may be a total fabrication, the invention of one Andre Schneider who was seeking to get into the film business and needed authentic-looking fake credits on his resume! I don't recall where that website quote was obtained from, and cinemascreen.co.uk seems to be defunct (if it ever existed!)

LUSTFUL DESIRES (2014)  - 25-minute sexual psychodrama from Jason Impey - features some razor violence during the climax (which, as MJ Simpson points out in his review of the film, involves a safety razor!)
