A late contender for best telly programme of the year came with Mackenzie Crook's 2 hours of living scarecrow fantasy. I think this is a truly charming little masterpiece to rank alongside Wallace & Gromit and the Paddington movies, beautifully done in all departments, perfectly cast and really funny.

I haven't seen it myself, but I read some scathing reviews. Presumably from the 'why do they have to remake a classic?' brigade.
It's mentioned in the BBC's Annual Plan so I guess it's now in the public domain that Worzel will return. Exactly when will depend on when Covid allows filming to start. I think we could all do with this sort of programming these days.

All lovely stuff, and Worzel's pro-Thunberg/anti-foxhunting speech was exactly what we needed to hear to finish off the 2010s. Loved Pemberton's APACHES-like 'farmyard peril' scene at the start of part two.
