"Rutger Hauer fighting a monster", says the banner headline for this subforum. Kind of sums up the 90s. Managed to get a theatrical release at a time when not much other British horror was getting near the cinemas (in fact, not much was being made). I sense it's the sort of movie ('movie' seems a much more appropriate word than 'film' in this instance) that we like in these here parts. Haven't seen it for ages, but thought I'd post about it since we lost the great Mr Hauer recently.

I recall reading in Shivers magazine about the shooting of Split Second in an abandoned jam factory and was quite encouraged by the statement that the production company 'Metrodome Films' (?) were planning a slate of new BHFs.
The first time I saw the film I thought it was shite. Seen years later as the pisstake that it was, I enjoyed it quite a lot.
