This horror comedy got a small cinema release a couple of years ago but it's only just out on DVD now.
A virginal, 29-year old, ginger bloke finds himself of interest to two murderous sisters. It's probably a couple of plot developments away from being very good but it's a fun watch and should be enjoyed by most of the BHF crowd. I was pleased to see that it goes beyond nuts with knives into more supernatural territory. I'm not sure whether the tribute to a 1970s US classic near the end worked or whether it was a bit too much on the nose. It took me out of the story for a little bit but I did enjoy the reference. I liked the score too and thought I spotted some Goblin-like music in there are points. Worth a look.
I quite enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It manages to sustain the comedy from start to finish.
As usual I was one of the few to see this at the cinema - though it may actually work better on tv, being a small-scale piece. An enjoyable watch, and for Derbyshire viewers it's a chance to see some of our local talent in major roles.
