Most of the world's population has become infected with a sort of super rabies that turns people into highly-vicious and highly-contagious "Infected". They're definitely not zombies though, oh no. Survivors are trying to find "patient zero", the source of the infection, from whom they hope to create a cure. Matt Smith can speak to the not-zombies (who have their own language for some reason) because although he has been bitten he's not a not-zombie. Stanley Tucci turns up as a highly-articulate and intelligent not-zombie and at least a couple of Game of Thrones alumni are on board. The problem of course is that this not-zombie film is really just another zombie film with enough ill-thought out variations from the usual formula to be mildly puzzling without ever being interesting. And the ending absolutely stinks. Unworthy of the good actors involved.
