A nerd likes painting fantasy models in his allotment shed. There is a zombie apocalypse.
Never has a movie so wanted to be Shaun of the Dead ... the thin nerd and his cruder fat buddy really want to be Pegg & Frost and Shaun even pops up briefly in the animated credits sequence that is the best bit of the film. Sadly, this British horror comedy is horribly written, crass, unfunny and misogyinstic. Several "horror icons" turn up in supporting parts: Kane Hodder, Bill Moseley and poor Michael Berryman as a bondage fan. Brian Blessed provides narration and Emily Booth has a demeaning role as a prostitute. For some reason the bfi provided some form of support for this rubbish. Pathetic.
