So there's this new BHF that's a media sensation and we haven't had a thread yet ... and I guess none of us are really interested in it. Does that pretty much sum up our attitude towards new, modern, innovative horror? I think it does mine, plus I don't do the streaming thing.
I'm always up for new, modern BHFs, and always took an active part in the Agadoo competitions. However I just can't keep up with everything and my OCD tendencies mean I tend to fixate on one particular genre / country/ TV show / author / composer /artist etc at a time. My British Horror Revival immersion of a couple years back practically sated my curiousity for a while. Last new BHF I watched was The Lodge.
Well, I can only speak for myself, not for you other three... but I tuned out in 1979. I did make a few attempts to tune in again but I was never comfortable, so now I just delve deeper into pre-1979 horrors. Not even that - I just go back and skim over the well-worn ancient surface time and time again. Now I understand how Denise Giftcard felt, and my grandparents when I was enthusing about Jaws and Star Wars.
