Brand New BHF Titles Game | Passthemarmalade

Here’s a new game. As usual it’s simpler to play (though maybe not ‘easy’) than to explain. Pay attention!

There are three steps;

1. Each definition gives a one word answer. Make a list of the words.

2. Change any ONE letter (or, if specified, TWO letters) to make a different word, without changing the order of the remaining letters.

3. Match pairs of resulting words to form the title (one or two words) of a British Horror Film (for the sticklers, this may include fantasy adventures and thrillers…)

Eg. Definitions;

A. Opposite of ‘first’.

B. Red planet.

C. Seasoning for food. (change TWO letters in answer word)

D. Great strength or power.

Answers;

A Last

B. Mars

C. Condiment

D. Might

Change ONE (or TWO) letters;

A. Last > LOst

B. Mars > MarE

C. Condiment (change Two letters) > ConTiNent

D. Might > Night

Resulting film titles;

A + C = Lost Continent

D + B = Nightmare

Having said that film titles are one or two word ones, a few may require the addition of an article (the, a, an) and/or prepostion (of…) which ARE NOT INCLUDED in the clues.

Try these;

A. Stays in a hotel or invited to a party. (change TWO letters in answer word)

B. Shielded from harm or danger.

C. Small bag, often made of leather, for carrying money, often coins, typically carried in a woman’s handbag.

D. Taken by assault, eg The Bastille was _____ by revolutionaries. (change TWO letters in answer word)

E. Dear old grandmother.

F. Cook in oil.
